Describe the significance of Christmas to Jo and the professor in chapter twenty-nine

In the beginning, Professor Bhaer lives in the same boarding house as Jo. He agrees to give Jo German lessons and Jo agrees to mend his clothes in exchange. Later on, the two decide to exchange Christmas gifts and their friendship begins to grow over Christmas.
