Contrast Professor Bhaer with Laurie. What could possibly draw Jo to one over the other?

Jo has known Laurie for a long time. They've sometimes butted heads, but Laurie begins to make changes that Jo likes, in chapter twenty-nine. He stops smoking a pipe and he lets his hair grow out. He's also told Jo that he has an eye for her, so he is a sure bet. Professor Bhaer is older, more distinguished, and more respected. Jo finds herself drawn to him. He is an excellent new friend with romantic potential.
