According to Sheen, the Old Law was symbolized by the temple.

Sheen also notes that after Christ's death, one of the Roman soldiers pierced Christ's heart with his lance, out of which poured blood and water, a symbol of the sacraments of the Eucharist and Baptism..... the forgiveness of sins which Christ offered.
