Who is Virgilio Vivacemente from Life Expectancy and what is their importance?

Paterfamilias to the Flying Vivacemente's, Virgilio is the aging patriarch who fears the loss of his youth more than everything else except not having someone to carry on the family tradition. Virgilio wanted a son so badly to carry on his name and tradition. To get the purest lineage possible, in an act of madness he impregnates his own daughter Natalie. Natalie then runs off with Konrad Beezo, a clown in their traveling show. Virgilio discovers Natalie died in childbirth, but doesn't realize that she gave birth to twins until after an illness forces a confession from the nurse responsible and brings Jimmy's identity out into the open. Once Virgilio discovers he has another son, he immediately attempts to gain access to the youngster he now realizes is his grandson/great grandson, Andy, seeing it as his last chance at immortality.
