Who is Hector Lopez from Legacies and what is their importance?

Hector Lopez is four-years-old and suffers with HIV. Jack meets him at the Center and is won over by the boy's outgoing personality. When Jack is leaving the center, he sees Hector becoming ill in the hallway. He then gets help for Hector and finds himself concerned about the his welfare.
