Who is Mr. Thomas in the narrative? How is he described? What does he tell Stevie to tell his mom in Chapter 19?

Mr. Thomas is Stevie's dad. He is also the chaperone the association pays to accompany Stevie to the Final Four. At the end of the novel, Mr. Thomas makes Stevie promise to tell his mom that Mr. Thomas knew where Stevie was at all times during the weekend.
