Joe Mitch, who is one of the judges of the essay contest, introduces himself to the parents and the kids. The group also has an opportunity to meet a famous sports' writer, Dick "Hoops" Weiss, who says he enjoyed reading Stevie's essay. Dick Weiss says they should head out so they can pick up their media credentials before watching Duke practice on the court.
