The phone rang; it was Whiting saying he needed to see Chip about Chip's dad. When Whiting arrived, he told Chip there was a problem with his transcript. Whiting said that Chip's transcript says he failed two classes the previous semester, instead of one class, which would prohibit Chip from playing.
