Jurgenson returns Chip's call to meet with Chip late that night at an out of the way hotel. Susan Carol convinces Chip to allow her to send an email to a reporter that details the plot, time and place of their meeting, as well as a note to call to the FBI if they don't make it to the arena by seven o'clock.
