What is the dean's response to Chip's story in Chapter 14?

Stevie, Susan Carol, and Chip arrive at the dean's house at 9:30 a.m. The dean catches Chip in a lie when he introduces Susan Carol as his sister and Stevie as his cousin. After listening to their story, the dean says he cannot find Chip's transcript, but he says that he does remember reviewing Chip's transcript for eligibility.
