What conflicts and obstacles do Stevie and Susan Carol face in Chapter 11?

Stevie and Susan Crol know right from wrong. They know what Profession Whiting is doing to Chip is wrong. They are determined to help Chip because Chip has done everything he can to try to help himself, but Chip is running out of time. It seems as if someone is trying to set up Chip and his father because the dean confirms that he doesn't think Chip failed his class.
