How does Susan Carol help Stevie get into the locker room in Chapter 5?

As they approach the locker room, the security guard lets Susan Carol through, but he tries to stop Stevie. Susan Carol helps Stevie get through by showing the guard the letter that says they are "fully accredited media" at the Final Four because they're the winners of the contest.
