Last Exit to Brooklyn
How does Selby use stream-of-consciousness in the story, Another Day Another Dollar from the collection, Last Exit to Brooklyn?
.
.
Selby uses the stream-of-consciousness style in the story, Another Day Another Dollar, with one sentence that is almost a page long. With little punctuation, the reader is inundated with a stream of breathlessly shocking images and the uncomfortable understanding that the men beating the sailor have no thought of ever stopping. In fact, the reader feels that if the police didn't come they would have continued beating him even after he is dead.
