Importance of Cell Phone

This cell phone that Connor’s father smuggled to him represents Connor’s desire to be loved by his father. Even though his head knows that his father is a convicted murderer, Connor’s heart does not agree. He uses the phone to communicate with his father, hoping that his father will be able to provide proof that he is not a monster and that he does love Connor.
