Hitler was joined in his bunker for his birthday celebration in the morning by Nazi Party elite including: SS leader Heinrich Himmler, Reichsmarschall Hermann Goerring, and chief of the operation staff Gen. Alfred Jodl. That evening Braun and three of Hitler's female secretaries celebrated with champagne. Hitler ended the evening early by going to bed.
