Ayodhya is the capital of the kingdom of Kosala and where Kaikeyi lives after her marriage to Dasharath. Ayodhya is described as much more lively than Kekaya with much more people wandering the streets and selling in the marketplace. It is also significantly more colorful than Kekaya and trades often in textiles and artwork.
