Why does Aunt Dahlia have the Trotters at Brinkley?

Aunt Dahlia tells Bertie that the Trotters are at Brinkley for a business deal. She is trying to sell her periodical, Milady's Boudoir, to L.G. Trotter because her husband refuses to continue financing the newspaper.
