What does Bertie decide to do at the end of the novel? Why does he do it?

At the end of the novel, Bertie decides to shave off his moustache. He comes to this decision after realizing that the moustache poses a danger to him, as women will surely fall in love with him because of it. Jeeves looks upon Bertie's decision favorably.
