Nineteenth-Century Rural England: Gateshead, Lowood Institute, Thornfield/Millcote, the moors, Moor House/Morton, Ferndean
Interesting to note is that all of these places represent some facet of Jane's growth as a person. Each place leaves her with a little more knowledge of herself.
