Who is Lucia Joyce from James Joyce and what is their importance?

Lucia Joyce was Joyce's daughter. She was a diagnoses schizophrenic, who was creative and artistic. Lucia enjoyed painting, dancing and singing, and she spent most of her life in institutions. After Joyce's death, Lucia refused to believe that her father was really dead.
