What is the theme in Ithaka by Constantine P. Cavafy?

One major theme in the poem, Ithaka, is life as a journey. Throughout the poem, a journey is seen as something to experience rather than plan for....... it's about the journey..... the living..... not the ultimate goal, which often isn't what you'd hoped for.
