In Chapter 35, how does Lily react when Emerson is dropped off while she is moving and why?

While Atlas, Brad, and Theo are helping Lily move, Ryle's car pulls up. Marshall gets out of the car, and he gets Emerson out of the backseat. Then he hands her off to Atlas. Lily has tears in her eyes when she sees the exchange. She knows it is a big thing that Ryle lets Atlas take Emerson and he does not cause a confrontation.
