How did Atlas come to own his first restaurant?

When Atlas was in the military, he was stationed with a friend who had family from Boston. His aunt and uncle were getting ready to retire and wanted to sell their restaurant. When Atlas visited it one year on leave, he fell in love with the place. He loved the food, that it was located in Boston, and that it had a preserved tree growing in the center of the dining room that reminded him of Lily. He had not planned to buy a restaurant right out of the military. He had planned to work as a chef to gain experience. When the opportunity presented itself, he used the savings he had, secured a business loan, and bought the restaurant.
