What are Ishi's initial reactions to the City?

When Ishi wakes up on his first morning in the city, he is overwhelmed by it. He looks out of his window and realizes that the City is large and that he is in a tall building on top of a hill, much further from the ground than he had ever been in his own watgurwa. He feels like he is lost and out of place.
