Iphigenia's reference to her dream foreshadows two later moments in the play. The first is Iphigenia's comment in Part Two when she discovers that her dream about Orestes' death was wrong. The second is a comment made by the Chorus at the beginning of Part 6, referring to the way the king of the gods took the power of foresight away from the god of dreams and gave it to Phoebus Apollo.
