Who is Kirby Scott from Into the Woods and what is their importance?

Kirby is Lee's new husband. He is described as a tall, tan, muscular man with blue eyes. Kirby bowls Lee over with his charm and romantic tendencies..... at least she finds it is all an act. In the end he abandons her..... but not until after he has sqaundered all of her money.
