How is Mario affected by his films not being as popular as his father's?

Mario is not very affected by his films not being as popular as his father's. He hardly seems bothered at all. He is simply happy to do something that he enjoys doing. He does feel closer to his father in making films like him, but he does not find it unfortunate that his films are not as widely appealing.
