What do most of the men believe is the role of Jewish theater?

Many of the men believe the role of Jewish theatre is to tell the heroic and honorable tales of the Jewish people. Sinful behavior such as what is found in Sholem’s play has no place in Jewish theatre, or anywhere for that matter.
