Lucifer is the existing Incarnation of Evil at the beginning of Piers Anthony's novel For Love of Evil. Lucifer is overthrown through overreach and the love between Lilah and Parry. Lucifer spends centuries banished in prison, until Parry recruits Lucifer to learn more about Niobe, and kill her. When Lucifer fails in this task, he is fired and returned to his prison.
