Why, according to Mac at the end of Chapter 7, will the whole valley burn if Anderson's farm is touched?

Mac warns London against selling him and the men out because if the farm is so much as touched, Mac and the strikers will see to it that all of Torgas Valley burns. It is more so a threat to London against turning them in, which the orchard superintendent wants London to do.
