What does Anderson do when he discovers his dogs have been lost to the barn fire?

Anderson loved his dogs and feels betrayed and let down by Mac. He has reported them to the sheriff and they will officially be kicked off of the orchard. He would kill them himself but knows that the sheriff will do it for him.
