As Miah’s father drives them to East Hampton, he gives his view of white people. Miah’s father says that white people do not realize they are white until they are someplace with a lot of Black people. When Miah suggests that maybe there are some white people who use their white privilege to help others, his father responds that he hopes that Miah is right.
