How does Ellie feel about her mother learning about a boy in Ellie's life from Anne?

Ellie is irritated to learn that Anne had told her mother about the the tiff she and Ellie had gotten into over a boy in Ellie's life. When Marion reassures Ellie that she is welcome to talk to her anytime about anything, Ellie does not have the heart to tell her mother that it was too late for them to grow close enough for Ellie to trust her mother.
