What does Fonny do when he drops Tish off at her home in Section Three?

Fonny brings Tish back to her house around 6 in the morning. When he brings her to the door, he stays with her. Sis answers the door, and Fonny asks to come in and talk to Tish and Sis's parents. He tells both Mr. and Mrs. Rivers that he is sorry he had Tish out so late, but he plans to marry her.
