If Beale Street Could Talk
It is very clear in Section Two that Tish and Joseph have a close relationship. How does Baldwin make it clear Joseph adores Tish?

Although Joseph does say things like, "I'm proud of you" (49) and "I know you're a good girl" (46) to express his love for his daughter, it is more in their actions toward one another that reveal this love. He pulls Tish into his lap, he rests his hand on her forehead and in her hair, she leans against him. All of these are examples of the comfort they feel around one another and the love they have for one another.
