In Section One, what is the reason Tish gives for family not attending church?

Tish and her family are Baptists. She says they go to church on Easter and Christmas, but they hardly ever really go. Tish says that her mother did not like the church sisters, and since her sister takes after her mother, she followed her mother's lead. As for her father, Tish says he did not see the point in running after the Lord especially because he did not have a lot of respect for him.
