Who is Captain Anton Mikovsky from Ice Hunt and what is their importance?

Captain First Rank Mikovsky is the Captain of the Drakon. At thirty years of age, he is half the age of Admiral Petkov. He had just returned from a shakedown cruise on an Akula class II and now receives his first command assignment and one he takes seriously, especially with Admiral Petkov on board. His mission is to occupy the Ice Station, control it, and set up communications. Then his orders are to submerge and patrol the waters for signs of the fast attack subs that are known to patrol the polar cap depths. He was thrilled and honored to have the commission when it was granted to him, but now found himself happy that the 'White Ghost' as the Admiral was known had gone ashore.
