What did Mahmud know about his grandmother Bilquis' Christianity?

Mahmud knew that his grandmother had become a Christian. She read Bible stories to him, and moved his bedtime for more stories. Mahmud worried that she loved Jesus more than she loved him, but accepted the fact that the love of God must come before the love of even the people we love most in the world. Hearing that Jesus gives people rest, he asked Jesus not to do that for him. He didn't like resting.
