When Nyamayaro arrives in London, she is twenty-five years old. Finding a job proves difficult, and she must persevere in order to move past the size and condition of the hostel in which she is living.

We can infer that Nyamayaro is determined to meet the goals she has set for herself. She has lived in worse conditions, particularly, suffering froma lack of food and care, so London is just another obstacle. Nayamayaro doesn't give up.
