Who is Lenar Hoyt-Catholic priest from Hyperion and what is their importance?

Lenar Hoyt is a pilgrim. He is a Catholic priest, who travels to Hyperion, only to find Father Dure has been crucified. Like Dure, Hoyt is later cruciformed by the Bikura. He doesn't share this information with the other pilgrims because he is afraid they will be angered by his immortality.
