Why does Aneeka tell Eamonn she got into the tube with him? Why does she say she fell in love with him?

Aneeka first tells Eamonn she got into the tube because she thought he was beautiful. She then says it was because she thought it would save her brother. She tells Eamonn she loved him because he was hope, and how could you not love hope.
