Tanimoto was the pastor of the Hiroshima Methodist Church miraculously made it through the blast unscathed. After the blast, he spent two weeks helping everyone who needed help without stopping, displaying endurance, strength, and great faith all the while. He also spent every waking moment preaching and leading others to Christianity.
