What is the importance of Black Run State Park in the novel, Her Last Goodbye?

Black Run State Park is the place where Sarah Bernard’s body is found by cadaver dogs searching for Chelsea. By the end of the novel, two more bodies have been located in the park. It is assumed that the first chapter of the novel, where the unidentified man is digging the grave, is set in the state park.
