Who is Ruby San Salvador in the novel, Hello, Universe?

Ruby San Salvador is a figure from one of Lola's stories. She is a girl with seven sisters, who doesn't know what her destiny is. Ruby eventually leaves the village to find out what her destiny is, and the village gets much quieter after she leaves, according to Lola.
