Why was Hell House closed for thirty years?

An experiment was done in Hell House by a group of parapsychology experts. At the end of the experiment, only sixteen-year-old Benjamin Fischer was left alive, though seriously injured physically and emotionally. The owners immediately locked the doors and refused to allow them to be opened.
