Influence vs nature is a recurring idea.Emeric Belasco had a negative influence on everyone he came into contact with. It began with simple promiscuity but he soon grew weary of merely orchestrating orgies and handing out drugs. His ego led him to affect everyone he had as a guest by appealing to their most basic savagery. He did whatever he could to open up the worst in people, and as time went on, his madness in that area knew no bounds. From orgies and drugs he graduated to more drastic offerings of human carnage.
