What is Zydeco?

Zydeco music symbolizes the complex and history of the region and how many different people call Marion County home. Originally from Louisiana, near the Texas border, the genre is a blend of many traditions, representing many of the residents of East Texas. Darren, however, makes reference to how he wants blues, not zydeco, demonstrating that his sense of place is attached to Camilla, not Marion County.
