Does computer profiling violate these tenets of democracy?
3. Computer profiling is being used to identify people “likely” to commit a crime. Although these people may not be automatically arrested, they may be stopped and questioned for no reason other than their profile “fits.” In a democracy, people are supposed to be arrested only after a crime is committed, and even then, they are presumed innocent.Does computer profiling violate these tenets of democracy?
