Who is Dr. Hieler from Hate List and what is their importance?

Dr. Hieler is a psychiatrist. He agrees to take on Valerie's case and is described as a kind, gentle man. who seems to instictively know what Valerie needs to hear. Valerie turns to Dr. Hieler as she struggles with the most difficult aspects of her situation. Dr. Hieler is a sounding board, but he is also a source of much needed compassion in Valerie and her mother's struggle to deal with Nick's actions on May 2.
