What happens at the only Lamaze class Nicholas attends for Paige's entire pregnancy?

Nicholas arrives at Lamaze class late and joins Paige on the floor. He remembers how he had come home the night before and found her in tears for no reason. The class instructor calls Nicholas to the front of the class and has him put on a sympathy belly. Nicholas wears it well at first, making a joke out of it for the entertainment of the other fathers, but struggles when the instructor has him bend down to pick up a pen. Nicholas falls, eliciting laughter from everyone in the room. Paige comes to his side and helps him out of the sympathy belly, and then they leave the class. At the car, Paige explains that she does not like seeing him that way.
